🥳 A Celebration of Vision, Vitality, and What’s Next

After months of quiet building, community whispers, and experimenting in the field, Pluto is starting to lift off. Launches are epic - in my experience with Othership, they were akin to starting a revolution and my learnings on how to approach things in this fashion remain revered and in the arsenal.

This iteration of Pluto isn’t quite at that monumental stage - we’re still incubating. But this is not an isolated process - we placed our “soft” launch date of July 6 (tomorrow) as a deadline to sprint a concept into existence and share with the world know what I’ve been up to over this past while. It’s amazing what dates and deadlines can do as a forcing function to productivity, getting shit done and drawing out maximum focus and effectiveness to meet a goal.

Tomorrow will be the first time I’m publicly opening the kimono to what it is I’ve been devoting my life towards for the last 7 months. Interviews, testing, experimenting, conversing, learning and evolving what first seeded as an idea and has been chipped away at through much dialogue and planning… what will be revealed is not a final product, but a living experiment that I am inviting everyone to participate in and we start with a party.

Venture creation, or creation of any kind is no easy feat. If we are created in the image of God, and God is a creator, then I wholly believe that creation is a natural act we all are meant to do so I take it quite seriously (but playfully too 😉 )This may take shape in many forms, from the creation of life through birth, a song, a venture, an experience no matter how big or small. To remain in equilibrium with this - I seek to balance creating more than I consume, and frankly, I do a lot of consuming…

For brevity’s sake, as my plate is enormously full right now with last minute items - I am sharing a final invitation to join us tomorrow at FieldShip! We have been putting a ton of energy into creating a daytime wellness party filled with life and joy in glorious co-created fashion. There has been an enormous amount of co-ordination and ideation to bring this party to life and for it to be fully realized in its glory, requires full participation.

I believe deeply in fully participating in life in all aspects - and this party will only be as good as the people that help animate and participate in every corner of it! So please, join me tomorrow on the dance floor and beyond - and experience what I intend on being an event that will represent all that will be created through Pluto thereafter. Beyond an experience, a way off being and gathering steeped on service, celebration and co-creation as stewards of the beautiful future that is ours to build and revel in.

🌑 So What is Pluto?

I know this has still remained vague, this is intentional. But for those of you who are curious for a deeper understanding.

Pluto is a community-powered platform and soon-to-be physical space where aligned minds bring visions to life. Our website is now live, you can take a look here. It should give you a good idea of what’s going on, and if it doesn’t please send any and all feedback. The brand is getting overhauled (what you see is a sick template from Framer). Feel free to toss us a follow on our yet to be enlivened instagram page. Yes, it has followers - a dear friend (anonymous for now) generously gave me a dormant page that had a follower base of great people in Toronto for the added social optics to help us accelerate our uptake (you know how people are…) I hope you can appreciate my transparency as we share in this journey. Do give us a follow as it will start cooking soon!

We’re building this because we believe cities and societies need new social infrastructure. Places that are curated and co-created. Dynamic, nourishing spaces where you can work, dream, build, play, and remember who you are alongside others doing the same as I have come to know this as something truly contagious and invigorating - especially in compared to the isolated environments (internally and externally) many of us have found all too familiar.

I’m continually inspired by the experimental spirit of Edge Esmeralda, Pluto is our local response to a global question:
What does the future of authentic connection, expression and creation look like?

We’ve been prototyping ideas at pop-ups and gatherings over the past year. It’s time to ground the vision here in Toronto, the city I was born and raised in and am ready to continue to vitalize.
